Clinical Communications and Post Deployment Health:
Department of Defense's Deployment Health Clinical Center
Military personnel deployed on missions that put them in combat or other stress-inducing situations may return home with unique medical concerns. The medical community’s ability to treat health concerns with difficult to diagnose symptoms relies on an effective communications relationship between doctor and patient. The Consortium helped develop promotional materials and an outreach strategy for Health-e VOICE, a web-based, interactive distance learning tool that helps physicians better communicate with service members experiencing post-deployment health concerns.
