Widmeyer Chief Strategy Officer Margaret Dunning Accepted in Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2009

WASHINGTON, DC – Margaret Suzor Dunning, Chief Strategy Officer at Widmeyer Communications, was recently selected to join the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2009. Leadership Greater Washington is a non-profit organization, established to connect and challenge diverse regional leaders for the purpose of improving life in the Greater Washington area.

Each year, Leadership Greater Washington selects a small, elite group of senior executives and leaders from various industries and organizations to participate in a year-long program that involves intensive study of the region. As a group, the class examines such issues as public safety, affordable housing, child welfare, education and health. All members of every class are committed to developing new approaches and finding positive changes for regional challenges.

“Leadership Greater Washington is an important resource to the Metropolitan area and I feel fortunate to be entering the Class of 2009,” said Dunning. “My work in the greater Washington area will be enriched by the LGW experience and I, in turn, hope to use my expertise to work with LGW on coming up with solutions for some of the more intractable problems our community faces.”

“Margaret is an outstanding addition to this new class,” said Scott Widmeyer, Founder and Chairman of the firm. “She has successfully led many projects that have transformed Widmeyer, helping us to grow as a firm in many meaningful ways. She knows what it takes to inspire others and make things happen.”
